The fixture is a drilling template made of machined steel that properly places the sear pin hole in the receiver for the auto sear pin. There are machined steel pins that are used to hold the fixture in place on the receiver. There is still a small amount of dremeling that has to be done to the carrier rail to allow for clearance for the trip in the receiver but that is explained in the fixture instructions, and may be done with a dremel. Since the holes are two different sizes on the AK-47 a bushing is provided for the right side hole to guide the bit that is the same size as the bit to eliminate the need to center punch this hole.
